Walking can certainly add years to your life by improving your overall health. Lower blood pressure, fewer heart attacks, and lower risk of cancers are all possible when you have better overall health...and this can partially be obtained with daily walking...for exercise!
I have always done volunteer work with seniors, and I have often asked the folks who were 85 years old and older, about their advice for living a healthy and long life. Overwhelmingly they respond "I walk every day." They also said that they have walked daily...all of their lives. Because of their good health, they were also usually people who took very few medications and sometimes none at all.
Walking Daily Helps People Lose Weight
Walking burns calories. Most people only walk between 3,000 and 5,000 steps per day as part of their normal routine. If you were to wear a pedometer every day, and strive to walk 10,000 steps or more...every day...this could help you substantially.
To start walking for fitness, try to begin with a 20-minute walk every single day. If that’s too much, then start slower, but set a goal of eventually walking 30 minutes a day, every day. You can increase that to 40, 50, and eventually sixty minutes, over time.
Walking Daily Will Improves Your Sleep
Walking improves the quality of your sleep. People who walk routinely also have increased energy. They feel better, and are better able to handle the challenges of the day. Then at night, they are tired and are better able to sleep! Have you ever visited Walt Disney World for a few days? Walking Daily Lowers Your Risk Of Heart Disease
Regular walkers have fewer heart attacks and strokes, lower blood pressure and higher levels of HDL (healthy cholesterol) than non-exercisers do. This is because of the fact that the daily physical activity, like walking, can lower blood pressure and LDL (bad cholesterol), decrease the risk of many cancers and improve immune system function.

Pay It Forward, Do Random Acts Of Kindness!
The phrase Pay It Forward, probably came from movie of the same name, that came out in the year 2000, and Pay It Forward...is the concept of doing a good deed for another person. Also sometimes called a Random Act Of Kindness!
In the movie, the actor Kevin Spacey starred as the social studies teacher, and he assigns the seventh grade class to try to create an action plan that would help change the world for the better.
A student, played by Haley Joel Osment, devises a plan of building a network of good deeds, where each good deed would prompt others to also do good deeds for three others.
He does three, well-intended, well-considered helping acts for three different individuals, with the hope that each of the three recipients would, in turn, also do three acts of service for another personally selected trio of people.
When asked, “How can I repay you for what you have done for me?” The response is, “Pay it forward.”
This concept or idea of paying it forward speaks to the best of our human natures. We always feel better when we do good deeds for others.
It is fun, rewarding and nourishing to be generous of both our hearts and with our hands. Even Oprah and clinical research have confirmed the positive impact on ourselves, of doing good for others. There is power in giving a hand and helping one another.
This philosophy of Paying It Forward creates an open heart, in each of us, and there is an understanding that we are all interconnected to the great web of life.

He also reviewed that in his last year's prediction that 2011 would be the "year of 12 catastrophes," and cited various calamities like tornadoes and floods that fulfilled this.
Hogue also stated on the world-famous radio show...that the year of 2012 will be "the year when the people push back," and we will see millions and millions of people, all over the world, taking to the street to protest, especially in the spring and summer months. This global and middle class movement/awakening... against the corporate aristocracy and suppression of democracy will be particularly strong in Asia, and the Middle East, but will also be felt in the U.S.A., according to John Hogue.
In the coming month of February 2012, as the planet Neptune moves into Pisces for a long period, 2012 will show itself to be one of the most irrationally based years we've ever had, with too many people driven by their emotions, and gut reactions, and John Hogue foresees a large earthquake on the west coast of North America including Mexico, most likely during the period between July and September, and this quake will be associated with either a new moon or a full moon. He also warned that volcanic eruptions will be much more of a problem in 2012 rather than quakes, and he added that solar flares probably will not be an issue until sometime during the year 2013.
He does not believe the hype about the Mayan calendar relating to much, this year, and he concluded that the galactic alignment they spoke of actually already occurred back in 1998, according to his calculations. 2. Lean proteins are always the best. If you are picking a meat, two legs are better than four. Four legged animals tend to have a higher fat content than two legged animals, such as...chicken and turkey.
3. The fewer chemicals that you eat, the better you will feel, and the healthier you will become! Processed diet products are often loaded with chemicals that can be toxic to your system, and make you feel horrible. Worse yet, they can cause your gut to enter a state of malabsorbtion in an effort to reduce your body’s toxic load.
This results in fewer vitamins, minerals and antioxidants being absorbed from the food you eat. This can cause a starvation type of reaction, creating cravings for high energy, low nutrient foods...like sugars, salt and fats. Doesn’t that sound like a fun way to diet? Besides, no one wants to stay on a diet that makes you mean, moody and in a chronic state of “the munchies”. A good rule of thumb – if you can’t pronounce it, then don’t put it in your mouth.

Better still...get used to not eating sweets, candies, and dessert items. Have a nice piece of fruit as a dessert.
5. Never eat at fast-food restaurants! No matter what their highly-paid advertising experts fool you into believing...they have nothing on the menu that is healthy...Period!
6. Try to eat more slowly, eat smaller portions, take smaller bites, chew your food more thoroughly, and avoid the foods that you "know" are really bad for you!
7. Drink more water. Most people do not drink enough water.
Just as Abraham Lincoln said, "Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be." I say that people are as "healthy as they make up their minds to be!"

There are many things that we can each do to make our lives better, and happier, and more fulfilling, and one thing we should each learn is to be nicer to others, more giving, and more loving! When people are selfish, self-centered and self-absorbed...they tend to drive people away from them, rather than attract people to themselves.
Many folks are happier when they have people in their lives...family members, friends, et cetera...and no one wants to be around someone who is a grouch, or who is not very nice, or who is a jerk. So, one of the most important keys to being happier, is being nicer to others...even strangers.
Another good tip, is to avoid saying and doing things that other people don't like or don't want to deal with, such as constant complaining, preaching, and of course things like drinking, drugging, cursing, and acting like the center of the universe.
We should all strive to be more patient, understanding, considerate of others, and we should try to be kinder to others. We should strive to be better people, and do the right thing, whenever we can.
Happiness is a choice, and we should be thankful each day, that we wake up and even have another day. We should choose to be happy, and not let anything get us down. You Can Create For Yourself A Simpler And Happier Life! You really can!
With the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives, we can often find ourselves yearning for a quieter, simpler way of living. People are tired of feeling as though they are in an endless race to the finish line with no spare minutes, to enjoy life. They must learn to take a look at these suggestions, and learn how to bring a greater sense of calm and simplicity back into their life.
Rid yourself of having too much stuff. It is amazing how much “stuff” we can accumulate in our homes, as the years roll by, because we think ‘stuff’ will contribute to making our lives better, but it does not.
It is true that we gain enjoyment from some of our material possessions, but the more we accumulate...the more burdened we often feel. We have to take care of this stuff, and we have extra work added to our already busy schedules.
Eventually we find ourselves living under a constant cloud of confusion, scattered thoughts and stress...because we are so busy.
Begin to clear out the material possessions you no longer need or want, and donate them to a local charitable organization, or sell them, or give them to friends and family. You’ll feel lighter and less cramped in your home; and you’ll also feel good about giving these items to people who can actually use them.
Choose your activities more carefully. An active life is good for you, but not if it leaves you feeling stressed and fatigued! Most of us take on way more than is necessary, as far as obligations and even recreational activities are concerned.
We end up keeping so busy, that we become tired, worn-out and overstressed. Simply take a few minutes to think about the things you already do, on a daily, weekly or monthly basis...Do you really need to do all of them? Have you taken on responsibilities that really aren’t yours? Do you actually enjoy all the activities that you are running around for?
Make a list of some of these activities or obligations that you can eliminate, and then go ahead and do so, even if you have to gradually reduce unnecessary time fillers over a period of time...you are on your way to a simpler and happier life!
Sometimes you have to learn to say "no" to people. Don't be an enabler, and don't be a doormat! I know a mother, with two kids in school, and she works from home. When the kids have a day off from school, not only can she not get any "work" done, which hurts her business, she always feels compelled to "watch" two or three neighborhood kids (for free) because she claims those mothers have nowhere else to send their kids. But then, by having five kids in her small house, it stresses her out like you wouldn't believe! The ripple effect of this stress lasts for days and hurts her business even more than it should! Learn to say "no!"
Spend some time in silence every day. A simple way to live a life of simplicity and ease is to shut out the mental and physical “noise” of your busy life on a regular basis. Sitting in silence for just a few minutes can drastically reduce your stress levels and leave you feeling calm, centred and happy.
Also turn off that damn television...it has nothing but a bunch of crap anyway! It is amazing how many Americans are addicted to the "boob tube!" That's what it used to be called, because it turns you into boob, as in idiot! People are only fooled into thinking they're watching worthwhile programming...but they seldom are!
If you live near a park or a natural setting, you can spend more time in nature. While not completely silent, natural settings have soothing sounds such as the sound of running water of a brook or stream, singing birds and wind rustling through trees. These soothing sounds automatically trigger feelings of peace and well-being.
If you are trapped in an office, close the door for five or ten minutes of silence, close your eyes, and calm your mind...think about happy things that you might do in the near future, and after that, you will emerge feeling like a different person!
Stop spending money foolishly! Too many people, spend too much money, on silly things...then they do not have quite enough for bills and important expenses, and then they create for themselves...stressful financial problems! Simple lives are a choice, and there are many people who make a choice to eliminate certain, unnecessary expenses!

Why Do People Criticize And Verbally Attack You?
Here are some reasons why people sometime criticize and verbally attack you and others.
They have not yet been trained just exactly how to master and control their own minds, emotions and negative ego programming. They say whatever pops into their minds, and they sometimes "hurt" others with their words.
They are also sometimes run by fear, and when people are fearful...they will usually attack.
They are also out of control which causes them to get angry in a vain attempt to get back into control; however, this is only an illusion.
They are often envious or jealous, or they suffer from low
self-esteem, and they are constantly competing with others (in their minds) and they are comparing themselves with others. So, in an effort to try to feel good about themselves...they put others down and it makes them feel better.
They are trapped in the negative ego complex of being better than others or worse than others.
They are run by their emotional body. When you allow your feelings and emotions to run your life, the negative ego becomes the programmer of your feelings and emotions.
They are lacking in self-love and self-worth. They attack and criticize others to try to move to the topside of the negative ego instead of the bottom side of the negative ego. They don’t understand that they are trapped in negative ego duality altogether.
Who you are and what you're about is not defined by what other people say or think about you. So, learn to ignore the negative comments from others, and be sure that you do not fall into the trap of mistreating others in these same ways.
You can be happy and successful, and along the way, you will have to ignore the negative thoughts, comments, and the criticisms of others. People may tell you that you cannot do it, and you have to ignore them.

Positive Thinking Has Enormous Power! Start Trying It! Here Are Some Tips!
Thoughts have enormous power. Thoughts...positive or negative...drive our decisions, our goals, our dreams, and ultimately our lives. Are you living the life you have always dreamed of living? If not, then what are you thinking? What were you telling yourself over the years to get where you are today? Did you believe in yourself and that you were worthy of success? Or did you have doubts and fears about your future?
What did you tell yourself you could or could not do? What did you tell yourself you wanted to accomplish? When did you decide that what you wanted was not within your reach? Perhaps you listened to the negativity of others...Big Mistake!
Thoughts are more powerful than most people think. Every instant we're alive, we are unconsciously sending signals to our brain to tell it how to function. Many of the obstacles we face are only in our minds! If we dwell on reasons how we could fail, we would talk ourselves out of doing something.
Have you ever known someone to do something really foolish? You ask, "What were they thinking?" How much easier it is to see how thoughts determine the actions of others than it is to see this in ourselves! "If they were thinking more clearly, they would not have done such a thing," we say to ourselves.
So, what about us? If we were thinking clearly...! If we were thinking positively...!
Try doing this, to get yourself on the right track...On a piece of paper, write down all of the things that you're telling yourself. Include both the good as well as the bad things that are so ingrained in your mind.
For example you may have written: I'm not worthy of love, I don't deserve to be successful, I'll never have enough money, I could never do what so-and-so does, My life is never going to change. Sadly, these are all negative thoughts...and they hurt you, and they hold you back! We tell ourselves so many false and limiting beliefs; we actually start to believe them! Big Mistake!
After you have a list of your limiting beliefs, start replacing each negative statement with a positive statement. Write all these positive statements on little pieces of paper. Keep some in your wallet or pocket, and tape some to places like the bathroom mirror, the refrigerator, and in your car! Here are some examples of negative thoughts or beliefs and how to turn them into positive statements:
Negative:
"I am not worthy of true love."
"I am ugly."
"I'll never be rich."
"I can't do...(fill-in-the-blank)."
What did you tell yourself you could or could not do? What did you tell yourself you wanted to accomplish? When did you decide that what you wanted was not within your reach? Perhaps you listened to the negativity of others...Big Mistake!

Tips For Better Sleep!
Our very busy lives tend to be hectic and chaotic, and very often...from the moment we wake up in the morning, until the time when we try to go to sleep...our busy and active brains are working at full speed! In order to get a good night's sleep, we really need to calm our busy minds and we need some time to decompress from all the talking, chattering, thinking, and everything else we make our brains do during our busy waking hours.
An overloaded brain that might continue to work hard after we lie down at night, will never let us get the rest that we really do need. Instead, our minds keep churning and processing information, as we toss and turn...unable to fall; asleep!
If your thoughts end up turning into worries, and you begin to dwell on everything that comes into your busy mind, it will be even harder to fall asleep. You might even worry about how horrible you're going to feel tomorrow after getting no sleep tonight...then this stresses you out more, and makes it even harder to fall asleep.
Insomnia has many different causes; emotional, mental, and physical. Menopausal women often suffer from sleeplessness.
People without a job might have trouble sleeping, since they're worried about money matters. You could also have trouble sleeping from eating a heavy meal, too late in the evening!
If you suffer from insomnia, for whatever the reason, you should consider taking some simple steps towards eliminating this problem.
Here are some tips about sleeping better!
Change some of your habits of things you do right before bedtime... this the one key to better sleep. Stop watching movies that are very dramatic or upsetting or with too much action.
Replace any habitual activities that tend to raise your energy level or challenge your brainwaves with simply relaxing rituals. Instead...take a nice warm bubble bath, or a nice hot shower. Put on some relaxing and soothing music. Cuddle with your partner...and if you do not have one, daydream about what it will be like when you soon have one!
Write in a Journal...and make notes about all the good things that happened that day. Give yourself a few minutes right before bedtime to write in a journal, and it will be comforting to you to remind yourself of all the good things that you experienced that day. Write whatever you wish, remembering that re-connecting with a peaceful place is your purpose for right now.
Therapeutic Journaling at the end of the day is a way to clear the mind of thoughts and worries and to frame your day positively. Writing “Night Notes” in your journal will help you process what happened during the day and let it go.
You may want to simply reflect on the events of your day, or explore one thing that happened, or take a tangent somewhere else entirely and pour out a fantasy or a new idea.
Then there is the act of praying, giving thanks for the day, or even using the Law Of Attraction and asking for a good night's sleep and a great day tomorrow, and then expecting that this will happen!

Program Yourself For Success With Your Goals!
You Really Can Program Yourself For Success With All Of Your Goals! So Just Start Doing It!
Set yourself up for success and program yourself for success with each of your goals by including these three important ingredients: a strong reason, accountability and visualization.
Your reason for the new goal has to be strong enough that it will carry you through all of the difficult times that you will have to endure. If you want to lose that extra weight, maybe it isn’t enough just to lose the weight so that you will be able to fit into your favorite clothes again. You would also feel better and have fewer health risks by losing those extra twenty, thirty, or forty pounds. Maybe you have a spouse or child, who will also begin doing it with you, and it will also be good for their health and well-being. A strong reason is essential to achieving your goal.
Accountability is the second key ingredient. You need to have people in your life that you respect enough to not want to disappoint them or let them down. This will keep you moving forward towards your goal consistently. More importantly, it would make you accountable for your food and exercise choices. You don’t need to take this to the extreme, just find a buddy or two who are willing to help you stay on track. Find people in your life that will encourage you without listening to your excuses, and without nagging you.
You can do absolutely anything that you make up your mind to do! You really can! Just get started and do not let anything stand in your way! You can do it and you will do it...if you really want to!

What does this success look like to you? What will it smell like? Maybe with a new body, you will be at the beach, breathing in the salt air, and smelling the wonderful coconut fragrance of some suntan oil. What do you hear around you? In the case of the beach, there is the hypnotic sound of the waves and perhaps some seagulls overhead. What words are you speaking on the road to achieving your goal? What have you been thinking that has led you to working towards reaching these goals? What have you been feeling with your emotions and your heart?
You can do absolutely anything that you make up your mind to do! You really can! Just get started and do not let anything stand in your way! You can do it and you will do it...if you really want to!

Controversy about the end of the Mayan Calendar on December 21, 2012 and the so-called end of the world predictions are really beginning to get ridiculous. Too much has been made of the Mayan calendar and the Prophecies that are supposedly linked to it, most importantly the "so-called" end of the world in 2012.
After all, the Mayans were an ancient group of people who ceased to exist around 900 A.D. The fact, that these people became extinct is important because these people did not "see" or predict the end of their own civilization. If they could not predict such an important event as their own demise as a people, then why the hell are doomsayers so ready to believe that these people could predict the demise of all cultures thousands of years in the future? It simply doesn't make sense. It is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard!

Are You Too Hard On Yourself, And For No Reason?
Are you too hard on yourself, and for no reason? Do people tell you that they really like you, or they think that you are great at what you do, but inside your head...you still think you are ‘not good enough’ and you keep trying harder? Do you criticize yourself in an effort to try to motivate yourself further, but all it really does is stress you out, and get in the way of your own success?
Here’s the irony: You work so hard for other people to think well of you, and they do, but once they do...you don’t even take their compliments. You feel you would have, could have, should have...done better!
You work so hard to achieve progress and success, and once you do, you just set the bar higher and higher, and you keep working harder. There is no enjoyment or peace of mind for you, so you just endlessly keep working harder. STOP this endless cycle!

Just learn to be thankful and grateful whenever you make small accomplishments along the way, and don't "beat yourself up," and stop thinking that what you have done...is not enough, or that it means nothing, or that it could have been better. You learn new things every day, including how to do a better job at this, that, or the other...and you learn little tidbits that lead to an increase in your knowledge, or your ability to do something...after all, practice makes perfect! But don't fall into the trap of endlessly thinking that what you do is not good enough, and that it doesn't deserve praise or recognition.
You're probably doing just fine...so keep up the good work!

Love Yourself...Do Not Be Addicted To Love From Others
Do you constantly try to be perfect, always looking right, saying the right thing, or by being a high achiever? Do you strive to have the best house, the best car, the best children, the best spouse, or the best clothing? Do you try to act cute, funny or amusing? Do you try to show other people how smart or clever you are?
Or do you act helpless, hopeless, incompetent, and in need of rescuing? Do you burden others with your constant complaining, your incessant talking, your whining, sulking, silence, or even your bragging? Are you overly nice and always acting like a people pleaser? Do you attempt to get the attention you want through intimidation...with anger, threats, blame, or violence?
These are some of the things that people do when they are love addicted. The little child inside of them is craving the love, affection, attention, and approval of others. We all have a little child inside of us, and we need to try to keep from allowing that child to rule our lives and our behavior in a way that will cause us pain and misery.
Too much complaining, or too much perfectionistic behavior, or even too much people pleasing can be a problem. It might make people shy away from us. We need to overcome the intense desire to be loved by others, by loving ourselves more. When we love ourselves more...we become more confident, and we become more comfortable with ourselves. Then we are not love starved or love addicted, and we can act in a more mature manner...not so clingy, or seeking approval, or trying to be funny or cute. This will be more appealing to other people.
Just as happiness is a choice, and being productive is a choice...learning not to constantly seek the love and approval of others is a choice. Love yourself, be more confident, and improve your life! You can do it! You can do anything you make up your mind to do!

Focus On The Positive...Ignore The Negative!
We all know some people who are facing difficult times these days, and maybe even we are experiencing financial struggles, which lead to other annoyances. People are mad, sad, worried, and stressed out about work and life.
Here are some things we can all do to improve our lives...

Reacting Or Overreacting To Events
Reacting Or Overreacting To Events Can Be Positive Or Negative, Depending On Our Choices!
Just as we can choose to be happy, or choose to do the right thing, when we have something happen to us, or around us, we can also either react in the proper way, or an improper way...we can react calmly, or we can overreact in an extreme way, whether too angrily, or even too excitedly.
When someone else says or does something that upsets us, we can choose to get all excited and lash out, or we can choose to stay calm, and even "turn the other cheek."
If news of a family member in the hospital, causes us to drive like a maniac to go see them, we could end up causing, and being involved in...a car accident, or even something silly and uncalled for, such as falling on the stairs, or tripping off of a curb.
It would be much better to keep cool, and drive normally, and maintain safety.
When someone at work, or perhaps a neighbor, says or does something that we feel is unacceptable, it is better to stay calm, and think about it for a while...before reacting or overreacting. If we act on impulse, we might say or do something that we may regret.

You Decide Your Success
You actually have complete control over the choices that you make in your life, and the choices that you make each day. In this day and age, there are many people out there, especially men, who do not say "I Love You" to their spouse. Then if someone were to ask them about it, they would say, "Oh, she knows I love her."
Well, guess what? She needs to hear it, he needs to hear it, we all need to hear it! There are Greeting Cards, and Love Songs, and Romantic Movies, and Books with love stories, and the list goes on...
As Franklin P. Jones once said, "Love doesn't make the world go 'round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile!" This is very true, and you should start telling your loved ones that you love them...daily!

This is brilliant and very wise advice! Never let anything get you down, or stop you from doing what you have made up your mind to do! Even if the challenges of life, or the obstacles between you and your goal are immense and the obstacles are many, just step forward and live the life you choose to live!
Ignore the negative comments from anyone around you who tries to tell you that you cannot do it, because you can do it! Whatever it is, you can do it! Your dreams are worth every effort...and even if it is not easy, it is still worth the toil and the hard work, the long hours and the struggles that might also come with it!
Even if you get knocked down again and again, just get right back up again, and get going. With enough persistence, and perseverance, and enthusiasm, and a positive attitude...any goal is within your reach!
Even if no one else believes in you, keep insisting on being positive, optimistic, honest and truthful. Use your personality, intelligence, and determination! Keep the power of love and truth...always on your side!

This is brilliant and very wise advice! Never let anything get you down, or stop you from doing what you have made up your mind to do! Even if the challenges of life, or the obstacles between you and your goal are immense and the obstacles are many, just step forward and live the life you choose to live!
Ignore the negative comments from anyone around you who tries to tell you that you cannot do it, because you can do it! Whatever it is, you can do it! Your dreams are worth every effort...and even if it is not easy, it is still worth the toil and the hard work, the long hours and the struggles that might also come with it!
Even if you get knocked down again and again, just get right back up again, and get going. With enough persistence, and perseverance, and enthusiasm, and a positive attitude...any goal is within your reach!
Even if no one else believes in you, keep insisting on being positive, optimistic, honest and truthful. Use your personality, intelligence, and determination! Keep the power of love and truth...always on your side!
Happiness is a choice...so is success...so is enthusiasm!

Tips For Reaching Your Goals
Make the goal measurable by asking yourself this question: "How will I know as I make progress, and when I’ve reached my goal?"
Break the goal down into small measurable steps that can be done daily or weekly...step by step. Try to be realistic here. If you can only devote 15 minutes a day to the goal, then do just that.
When you get to a point where positive results are showing, you will find a renewed interest in the goal, and new ways to make more time for the goal.
State your goal in a very positive sentence..."I am very excited that I have decided to...(fill in the blank)... and although it may not be easy, I am going to succeed!"
Write down what you would like to accomplish with this goal, in just one sentence. Goals that are doomed to fail are usually either too big, or too vague.
There is nothing wrong with having a few goals in different areas of your life, but you might want to prioritize them and focus on one goal at a time.
Celebrate your successes once you have reached a certain milestone. For example, you can treat yourself to something such as a spa treatment or some other indulgence, for trying something new or eliminating a bad habit for a full month.
Keep track of your successes in a journal or on a calendar. Some people like posting it on their refrigerator or other places where they can see it often.
Share your goals with other family members or friends who will support you and keep you accountable to the goal.
If you have any setbacks along the way, remember that they are only temporary, and change is NOT a linear process. You can always start moving forward from any point, without wasting the energy on beating yourself up about the setback.

It might not be easy, and there may be challenges, and it might take a while to reach your goals, but you can reach them if you really want to!

Several Ways To Inspire The Creativity Inside You!
Here are Several Ways To Inspire The Creativity Inside You!
#1: Bring any object of beauty into the room in which you are trying to be creative...something that inspires you, such as a flower or house plant, a gift that you have received or even a photo of someone or something! Choose an object of art or something that you find inspiring.
#2: If you are trying to jump start writing or painting a picture, look outside at the beautiful landscape or focus on some bright and lively colors to shift your energy and focus.
#3: Read words of motivation and inspiration. Find your favorite self-help book that inspires you, and open it to a random page. Before you do this, ask for guidance from above and whatever you need to hear for the day will be revealed to you!
#4: Try using your non-dominant hand. When you try to use your other hand, it engages the other side of your brain and sparks will start to fly!
#5: Crank up the music and play some very upbeat music that makes you want to dance around the house!
#6: Get up and move around, stretch, and even take a walk around the neighborhood. Exercise of any kind will stimulate both the left and right hemispheres of your brain and will help you increase your focus and creativity.
#7: Be silent and calm your mind. You might need to allow your busy mind to wind down. Sometimes the simple act of making a to-do list helps the mind and nervous system calm down. Then sitting in meditation can help you reach that deeper place and will stimulate your creativity.
#8: Dig deep inside of yourself and really think about what you are passionate about. What is your first impulse? What is your driving force? What must be said? What are you trying to say or do with what you're creating?
If you are writing, don't try to formulate sentences or paragraphs or worry about punctuation...just let the ideas flow freely from you. The simple act of not being confined by writing standards can allow many ideas to spring forward.
